Miss Long Island 2015

Grateful and eager to start her journey as Miss Long Island 2015, Jenna is currently entering her junior year as an undergraduate student at Binghamton University in Upstate New York where she is pursuing her degree in Pre-Med/Biology. She hopes to attend medical school after college to begin her dream of becoming a physician.

This dream of hers began when her father was diagnosed with heart disease when she was just a young girl. Alongside the American Heart Association, Jenna hopes that during her reign she can reach out to children to teach them the importance of preventing heart disease. Her goal is to teach these children that by maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle through proper eating habits and exercise, we can all see a significant decrease in heart disease and educate all who are willing to listen.

Between her studies, Jenna likes to participate in cheerleading. She says it's a fun and active way to keep herself in her best shape. She is excited to become a part of the Miss Long Island pageant family, not only to raise awareness about her platform, but to also represent Long Island as a delegate in the Miss New York USA pageant in January.

Geena is so grateful and excited to be crowned Miss Long Island Teen 2015. She is looking forward to proudly representing Long Island as a role model for her peers. Geena recently graduated from Floral Park Memorial High School where she was captain of the cheerleading team, a member of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), and a member of the Leader Corp. In the Fall, she will be attending The University of Rhode Island where she will be studying Entrepreneurial Management.

With her mother as her inspiration, Geena would like to use this amazing opportunity to promote her platform, Breast Cancer Awareness and Prevention. Geena holds this platform near and dear to her heart as a result of her and her family being personally affected when her mother lost her battle to breast cancer this past year. Specifically, she wants to educate people on the importance of early detection. Had her mother’s illness been detected sooner, a different outcome may have resulted. She plans to inform the people she meets of a few simple measures that women can take to be proactive and minimize the effects of the disease.
