Jessica Pinckney
Miss Long Island 2012

Jessica is ecstatic that she has the opportunity to represent her community as Miss Long Island 2012. She was raised in Manhasset by her parents Marie and Mitchell. Following in her mother’s career footsteps, Jessica is a graduate of both the University of Delaware and the Fashion Institute of Technology; with a bachelor’s degree in fashion merchandising and an associate’s degree in fashion merchandise management, respectively. She works at Ralph Lauren’s corporate office on the merchandising team for men’s footwear and women’s handbags. Throughout her reigning year, Jessica will be promoting her platform, Growing Up Giving Back. She grew up with the importance of community service instilled upon her by her parents and other role models surrounding her. As Miss Long Island 2012, Jessica will lead by example, volunteering throughout the community and speaking to the adolescent and young adult population about the importance of charitable work. She serves as the co-chair of the Young Professionals of AHRC Nassau, a volunteer chaperone for Sprout, a member of the WGIRLS NYC and loves getting involved with the philanthropy department at Ralph Lauren. Other than pageants, Jess enjoys shopping, reading, sports, seeing movies, music and spending time with her family and friends. Jessica is so excited for the year ahead and can’t wait to make her mark on this great island!


Sabrina Mastrangelo
Miss Long Island Teen 2012

Sabrina is delighted to be Miss Long Island Teen 2012. As a 15-year-old Queen, she believes it is never too early to start making a difference in this world. Sabrina will use her reign to reach out to schools and communities in promoting her platform, which is to raise awareness about cyber bullying. With today’s advanced technology she feels it is a serious problem and is very important to get out the message not only to her peers, but also to adults. Her goal is to spread the word on how to look for signs of cyber bullying, how to prevent it, and how someone can intervene and save a life. Giving to the less fortunate is also at the top of Sabrina’s priority list. She is active in giving to various charities across Long Island. She feels helping those in need will improve a community and hopes to inspire others to do the same. Sabrina is a sophomore at Wellington C. Mepham High School. She is very versatile when it comes to acting and has been inducted into the International Thespian Society for drama. She enjoys public speaking, acting, reading, modeling, and has a new found love of being part of the Miss Long Island pageant family.


Catherine Manett
Miss Long Island Teen 2012

Catherine Manett is more than thrilled to inherit the crown as Miss Long Island Teen 2012. Catherine is a graduate of Patchogue-Medford high school and is continuing her education in Journalism and Creative Writing at Hofstra University. While in high school, Catherine was the cadet commander of the Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corp and the president of the Patchogue-Medford Youth Council. As Miss Long Island Teen Catherine hopes to further her philanthropic work by promoting adoption. Catherine spends most of her time raising money through her non-profit organization, Crafty Kids, which donates arts supplies, toys and much more to children in hospitals and shelters. She loves to write and enjoys being a member of Hofstra’s chapter of ED2010, a group of young magazine editors who wish to learn more about the industry. Catherine is also a member of Hofstra Universities Mock Trial team.Catherine is so excited to start her reign as Miss Long Island Teen and is nothing but grateful for the opportunity she has been given.
