ELIGIBILITY

AGE DIVISIONS

  • To become MISS LONG ISLAND you must be born between the years of 2005 or before.

  • To become MISS LONG ISLAND TEEN you must be born between the years of 2005 to 2009.

  • If you were born in 2005 you are eligible to compete in either division.

ALL CONTESTANTS

  • A medically recognized female

  • A resident, full-time college student or retain full time employment (40 hours per week) in the state of New York

  • TEEN ONLY: Must not be married, never have been married, and never have had a marriage annulled. Must never have given birth to a child, cannot be pregnant or be a parent or guardian of any other adult or minor person. These representations and warranties must remain true through the State Pageant and, if you win the State Pageant, through the 2023 national pageant.

  • Must be a citizen of the United States, and at least one of the following must be true:

  • Must now reside in Nassau or Suffolk County as their permanent and primary residence for a period of at least six (6) months immediately prior to the beginning of the LI pageant (although they may have attended college or University elsewhere); or

  • Must have resided in Nassau or Suffolk County as a full-time student at a college or university for one entire semester immediately prior to the beginning of the LI pageant, and they are con tinuing to reside in Nassau or Suffolk County as a fulltime student (although they may have spent or be spending the summer in another state)
