2015 JUDGES

TANYA CARROLL ELDEMIRE
Tanya began her pageant career in 2010 and since then has won various state and national titles. Currently she holds the title of Mrs. Greater New York America and will be competing for the title of Mrs. New York America in October. Tanya is an experienced pageant judge for various local, state and national pageants as well as an avid volunteer for the American Lung Association which focuses on healthy air, tobacco control and all lung disease. Tanya is also an international model who has worked in London and St. Maarten and graced the cover of the Travel Edition, the Role Model Edition, and the Anniversary Edition of Supermodels Unlimited Magazine.

JANE RUBENSTEIN
Jane is the recently-crowned Ms. New York Senior America 2014. Born and raised on Long Island, Jane holds several degrees in music, art and education and was an Art and Industrial Art teacher for grades K-12 before retiring in 2008. Jane has devoted her time and creativity to various charitable endeavors throughout her life including The Jason Gruen Foundation that is dedicated to helping children with sudden death heart disease, as well as the 911 Fund, and beautifying the community every holiday season with her street and store-front artwork. As our new Ms. New York Senior America, Jane looks forward to promoting a positive image of aging, and to show the value, grace, vitality, and talent of women over 60 years old throughout New York.

NANCY KATINAS
Nancy is a native Long Islander who graduated high school from St. Anthony's in South Huntington. She went on to complete her undergrad at SUNY Brockport and her Masters Degree at SUNY Albany. Currently she is the co-owner and head fitness instructor at "The Revolution" with studios in Clifton Park and Loudonville, New York. The Revolution is a state of the art indoor cycling and fitness studio where Nancy leads a team of more than 18 instructors who are passionate about fitness and dedicated to building the model for a unique indoor cycling experience. Nancy believes in "Fitness for Life" and has used her studios to raise funds for Breast Cancer, Ovarian Cancer, Diabetes, Autism, Leukemia/Lymphoma, AHA, and numerous local community causes. She also participates in many fundraising events and has completed several 5ks, a 10k, a half marathon, 2 local duathlons and a mini triathlon. Nancy has also recently been named Mrs. Saratoga County and will represent that region at the Mrs. New York America state finals in October. She has been married for 19 years and has 3 beautiful children.

PATRICK M. BARRY
Patrick is President of The Resource Group, a full-service fund raising and development firm that supports not-for-profit organizations. Patrick has been in the field of philanthropy for more than 30 years and has helped organizations raise more than $2 billion. He began his career with Community Counselling Service, then worked directly for the Archdiocese of New York and Dowling College in Oakdale. In 1997, Patrick founded The Resource Group. The firm utilizes a team approach to raise funds through capital campaigns, corporate and foundation grants, annual fund campaigns, special events and major gifts initiatives. The Resource Group is proud to have served more than 40 clients locally and nationally including the Victims Information Bureau of Suffolk County, Transitional Services for New York, Islip Food for Hope, and East End Arts. A life-long Long Islander, Patrick lives in Holbrook with his wife Mary and their two sons John and Brian. Pat and Mary have two adult children, Lauren Backert and Patrick, who live and work in Silver Spring, Maryland.

 MARINA MONTES
No stranger to pageantry, Marina held the title of Miss Long Island® in 2011 and placed 2nd Runner Up at Miss New York America in 2010. Marina is also the Executive Director of the Miss Raleigh Durham USA Pageant in North Carolina, where her winner placed Top 15 at this past year's Miss North Carolina USA competition. Marina has also acted in a variety of performances as a theater student at George Washington University, and has appeared in both television and film including "Step Up," the History Channel and MTV. She most recently appeared on stage as Tess in "Hooked" at the Bare Bones Theater in Northport. Marina decided to test her acting skills in a courtroom and is also a proud graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's School of Law and is a practicing North Carolina attorney. She also founded and manages urSwim, a swim instruction school right here on Long Island.

JOSEPH MORTIMER

Joseph Mortimer, CPA, has more than 20 years experience in the public accounting profession. Prior to joining Blanchfield, Meyer, Kober & Rizzo, LLP, in 2000, Mr. Mortimer spent 13 years with large international accounting firms. He has extensive experience in accounting, auditing, tax and business advisory services. He serves the business and accounting needs of companies in many industries, including construction, real estate and manufacturing. He has experience in both the public and private sector. Mr. Mortimer earned his bachelor of business administration from Hofstra University and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1987. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Construction Financial Management Association.
